We share data with tutors and service providers strictly as needed under data processing agreements. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary: educational records up to 6 years after last interaction; financial records up to 7 years.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend access immediately for breaches or at our discretion. Your right to use the Service ceases upon termination.

Liability is limited to fees paid in the 12 months prior to any claim, except for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Safeguarding & Child Protection

We are committed to safeguarding children and young people. All tutors are vetted and follow our Code of Conduct.

• Enhanced background checks (DBS or international equivalent) and reference checks.
• Mandatory training on online safeguarding and reporting.

Online Safety

• Sessions via approved tools (Zoom, Teams) with secure links.
• Recording disabled by default; only enabled with consent.
• Use strong passwords and keep devices updated.

Payments, Refunds & Cancellations

Payments

• Fees payable in advance via our payment provider; invoices issued electronically.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

• Reschedule up to 24 hours before a session without charge.
• Late cancellations will be charged in full.

Refunds

• Credit or refund if we cancel and cannot provide an alternative.
• Pre-paid packages are not refundable. Alternative arrangements offered where appropriate.

Statutory rights are not affected.

Tutor Conduct

• Professional standards; lessons begin and end on time.
• Plan lessons around agreed goals; provide constructive feedback.
• No private arrangements outside MLL for new or ongoing work.
• Immediate reporting of safeguarding concerns.

Student Behaviour

• Be respectful, punctual and prepared; keep cameras on unless agreed otherwise.
• No recording or sharing of materials without permission.
• MLL may suspend or end access for serious misconduct.

Accessibility

We aim to make our services accessible to all learners. Tell us about any access needs for reasonable adjustments.

• Captioning tools on supported platforms.
• Resources provided in accessible formats on request.
• Aim for WCAG 2.2 AA where practicable.
